Position Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations related to our Trade and distribution activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient internal processes. You will play a key role in managing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and working closely with various departments to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Handle the accounting activities such as inventory management, cost accounting, and margin analysis.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with preparation of tax filings and audits.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, logistics) to ensure proper revenue recognition and inventory control.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights into performance, risks, and opportunities.
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous development.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the Trade and distribution industry.
Strong understanding of trade, logistics, and distribution operations, including inventory management, cost analysis, and revenue recognition.
Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo ERP) and advanced Excel skills.
In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and audit procedures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
